The Olds Institute for Community and Regional Development is a community association. Included amongst its members are four major institutions: Olds College, Olds Agricultural Society, Olds & District Chamber of Commerce, and the Town of Olds. Each of these Essential Members have the right to appoint one member to the Board. They are full members with voting privileges.
OLDS COLLEGE: Olds College is a premier Canadian integrated learning and applied research community specializing in agriculture, horticulture, land and environmental management. The College provides education for students and clients, primarily in the areas of agriculture, horticulture, land and environment management, agribusiness, entrepreneurship and rural development.
OLDS AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY: The Olds Agricultural Society hosts events on more than 200 days each year, including livestock shows and sales, horsemanship clinics and workshops in our riding and stabling arenas, meeting space, lots of 4-H activities, Farmers Markets, and various events on the racetrack and infield. The foremost activity at the fairgrounds is the Olds Fair & Rodeo, also considered to be the primary social event of the year for the entire community.
OLDS & DISTRICT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: The mission of the Olds and District Chamber of Commerce is to foster a positive business environment by providing services, advocacy and leadership to its members. The Chamber of Commerce serves the business, economic, and social communities of our town and area.
TOWN OF OLDS: Olds, Alberta, Canada has a population of 7,500 people and is a major service centre and regional market for over 40,000 people in Mountain View County.
